January 2013 — Showcased the Imperial Gold die templates at 2013 Winter CHA (Craft & Hobby Assoc.) Trade Show. It won the 2013 Winter Attendees' Choice Innovation Award. These die templates are unique, ground breaking dies that cut, emboss, deboss and stencil. The unprecedented technology creates laser-like detail with four times the functionality and creative power to any project.
January 2013 — Featured 3D M-Bossabilities™ Folders at 2013 Winter CHA (Craft & Hobby Assoc.) Trade Show. The embossing folders provide realistic embossing, debossing and dynamic letterpressing to give the impression of sculpted piece of art to your projects.
January 2013 — Launched Spellbinders Media Mixáge™ Line, a comprehensive line of mixed media products, at 2013 Winter CHA (Craft & Hobby Assoc.) Trade Show. An exciting line of bezels, blanks, matching dies, texture plates, surfaces, metals and more.
January 2013 — Introduced Spellbinders Media Mixáge™ Artisan X-plorer™ machine at 2013 Winter CHA (Craft & Hobby Assoc.) Trade Show. This multi-purpose, high pressure, compact roller press machine is ideal for all types of projects from jewelry to home decor, art journal to cards, layouts and mixed media. Cuts, embosses and presses a multitude of materials, including papers, metals, fabrics and more. Perfect fit with the Media Mixáge Line!
January 2013 — Spellbinders Paper Arts Collaborates with Susan Lenart Kazmer, mixed media artist, master metalsmith and author of Resin Alchemy, designed the new Media Mixáge line of bezels, blanks and emphemera paper packs. These offerings appeal to crafters and artists of all genres, including paper crafters, jewelry makers and home decor creators! She was introduced at the media breakfast at 2013 Winter CHA (Craft & Hobby Assoc.) Trade Show.
October 2012 — Introduced Shapeabilities® Die D-Lites™ die templates. A mid-season release of twenty designs, these die templates are smaller in size but have the same cut, emboss and stencil feature known with Spellbinders dies.
July 2012 — Spellbinders Paper Arts wins the 2012 Summer CHA (Craft & Hobby Assoc.) Trade Show Innovations Award for product innovation with the Spellbinders Nestabilities® Majestic Elements line. The award represents the industry's most prestigious recognition for product innovation. The Majestic Elements dies are intricately detailed nesting die templates that are perfect as single elements or can be layered and combined to create 20+ different design options in one set.
July 2012 — Showcased Nestabilities Card Creator series at 2012 Summer CHA (Craft & Hobby Assoc.) Trade Show. These die templates make it easy to perfectly layer and create elaborate designs with coordinating sets in the Card Creator series for A2 sized cards.
July 2012 — Introduced Shapeabilities® Enhanceabilities® die templates at 2012 Summer CHA (Craft & Hobby Assoc.) Trade Show. They are specifically designed to Pop Up! and add dimension to any project.
July 2012 — Featured Shapeabilities® Expandable Patterns die templates at 2012 Summer CHA (Craft & Hobby Assoc.) Trade Show. These dies allow its pattern to expand in all directions to create designs on a larger scale. Great for cards, backgrounds and scrapbook pages!
January 2012 — Presented Shapeabilities® Cut • Fold • Tuck die templates at 2012 Winter CHA (Craft & Hobby Assoc.) Trade Show. This new line is inspired by the tradition of European papercrafting. No more cutting by hand, with a single cut, crafters can build a range of intricate and uniquely detailed geometric creations for their projects.
January 2012 — Debuted Spellbinders M-Bossabilities™ folders at 2012 Winter CHA (Craft & Hobby Assoc.) Trade Show. A new product line of unique reversible embossing folders that has two distinct designs on each side. Folders can be flipped around to create two looks with each folder doubling the creative options!
July 2011 — Re-introduced Edgeabilities®, versatile and detailed die templates that mix, match and combine to create more than 72 design options. Introduced the Samantha Walker Designer Collection, featuring Samantha's Tags and Accents line and Grand Impressabilities™ templates.
January 2011 — Welcomed mixed media artist and paper crafting personality Donna Salazar as Spellbinders first licensed designer. The Donna Salazar Designer Collection includes die templates for book making, dimensional flowers and more. Spellbinders introduced Shapeabilities® Accents and Motifs, coordinated sets of die templates for mixing, matching and layering between sets and with other die templates.
July 2010 — Introduced Grand Calibur™, a large format die cutting and embossing machine, and Grand Nestabilities® die templates. The Grand Calibur™ Machine accepts 8½ x 11″ paper, as well as cuts or embosses up to 8⅛″ wide with the turn of a handle.
January 2010 — Debuted Presto Punch™, the first automatic Punch and Embossing Machine which offers the easiest, most convenient solution for paper punching. Its innovative design and one touch operation virtually eliminate the need for a multitude of bulky, space-consuming punches.
July 2009 — Introduced Pendants die templates at Craft and Hobby Association Trade Show. Awarded Innovations for this product line.
July 2008 — Debuted new raspberry-colored Wizard machine at lower retail price. Introduced several completely new die categories: Borderabilities® Grand, 12" scrapbooking dies to create full-page borders; Borderabilities® Petite, 5½" card-making die templates featuring single cut edges and elegant embossing details and Shapeabilities® Nested Sets of incrementally sized shaped die templates.
February 2008 — Previewed Xcalibur Motorized Die Cutting & Embossing System. Introduced Club Spellbinders™. Released 24 new die templates.
July 2007 — Notable re-launch of Geometrics as Nestabilities® — Spellbinders perfectly coordinated scalloped and plain shaped die templates with incremental measurements: circles, ovals, squares and rectangles. Premiered another innovative die format, Shapeabilities®, an entire line of free-formatted die templates.
February 2007 — Introduced Wizard™ Academy Retail Program. Sought additional patent protection. Redesigned packaging of Spellbinders™ Die Templates.
2007 — Began Canadian distribution.
2006 — Granted Registered Trademark status for the Wizard and Spellbinders. Began distribution in Netherlands, the UK and Germany/EU.
November 2006 — Released the largest chemically etched die templates on the market: Megabilities™ at 6¼ x 4¼".
September 2006 — Introduced Digital Die Cut Fusion™, blending traditional die cutting and digital technology.
June 2006 — Granted Patent protection for Spellbinders™ Die Technology for cutting, embossing and stenciling.
May 2005 — Began monthly distribution of Spellbinders™ Education Newsletter.
February 2005 — Nominated in two categories for Craftrends’ Awards of Excellence.
January 2005 — Moved company headquarters from Cleveland, OH, to Phoenix, AZ. Introduced the redesigned Wizard™ Universal Craft Tool.
February 2004 — Debuted The Wizard™ Universal Craft Tool at the Hobby Industry Association Trade Show, Dallas, Texas. Also introduced die template collections including the pre-cursor to Nestabilities® die templates, Geometrics.
August 2003 — Sought patent protection for Spellbinders™ Die Templates.
