Wedding Table Place Cards   Tuesday, February 14, 2012
by Holly Simoni   Post Type: Card

The romance and wedding season is quickly approaching.  I am a romantic at heart, and love everything about this mushy gushy time of year.

Kazan created a gorgeous bridal shower banner.  I wanted to add a project that you could easily coordinate with a bridal shower, wedding rehearsal dinner or wedding reception.

These Wedding Table Place Cards can be used for many different themes and setting.  I created these using Spellbinders Paper Arts™ new Cut, Fold and Tuck die templates.

Here is a supply list ~

Spellbinders Paper Arts:

Project Instructions:

To begin I chose cardstock that is double sided ~ meaning one color on one side, and another color on the other side.  This creates a more dramatic look when you cut/emboss with Spectacular Spin.

Fold each thin triangular piece up and back, then tuck that piece under the panel to the left.  These babies look complicated, but they are oh so easy to create.  Use a 3D black foam square to layer each die cut and adhere together starting from the largest to the smallest.

Notice how I used the darker color for two of the die cuts, and the lighter color for the medium sized die cut.  You can accomplish this just by alternating the color you place face down on top of the die template, as you build your sandwich to cut/emboss.

I trimmed white cardstock to approximately 10 x 4" and folded in half.  I used my Scor-Pal to score a horizontal fold at the bottom of both sides of the card, approximately 1" from the bottom.  This creates the tabs to help the place card stand upright.

Using Valor M-Bossibilities, emboss both sides of the card base.  Also emboss a strip, measuring 2 x 4", of the deep teal double sided cardstock.

These Spring Words have all the perfect sentiments to use for many occasions.  They also include mini swirls and roses that you can place next to the sentiment to really personalize it.

Place the desired stamps on an acrylic block, use a black in pad to load the stamp with ink, then stamp onto white cardstock.

Align the Grommet Tag die template around the sentiment and cut/emboss using your Grand Calibur.

Cut/emboss gold mirror cardstock using Classic Ric Rac Edgeabilities die templates.  Trim to approximately 4 x 1/2".  Adhere to the center of the teal strip.

Secure the sentiment stamped Grommet Tag to the center of the strips, and apply Bits of Blink in Black.  The Spectacular Spin die cut is adhered to the top of card leaving the top third to stand above the top of the card.

Use these Wedding Table Place Cards to help distinguish where your guests will be seated.  They could even be converted to direct people to the guest book or card box.  They are adaptable to pretty much any occasion.

Thanks so much for stopping by the Spellbinders Blog today!

I love to read your comments and hear what projects you are working on.

Stacey Caron   Read Stacey Caron's blog feature, Happy Memorial Day

When I travel the world, I am reminded of how truly awesome the United States is and the freedom we all have.

It’s because we have people who are willing to stand up and say “This is America and we will not bend.”

So Thank You for all you do and I will never forget the sacrifices that make me proud to say, I am an American.

See the entire Happy Memorial Day post.
