Sylvia Blum: Thinking of You & Wishing You Happiness   Wednesday, January 16, 2013

Hi everyone and welcome to the Spellbinders Blog. It's Sylvia here with my first post in 2013.  Have you seen the sneak peeks of all the wonderful new Spellbinders™ products? Aren't they amazing? I totally adore them! Unfortunately my new lovelies did not arrive until today, so I am going to show you a card that I've made with some "oldies, but goodies", today.

Spellbinders™ Paper Arts Supplies:

Other:

  • patterned papers, sentiment rubber stamp, brown ink, crinkled seam binding, white decorative pearl pin, sea green self adhesive pearls, ruler, paper piercing tool, white gel pen, dimensional foam adhesive

Step 1:

Die cut the Venetian decorative frame circle and a small circle from green patterned paper.

Because the die from the Venetian Motifs set is very intricate, I would suggest to use wax paper between the die and the patterned paper and to run it twice through the Grand Calibur®.

1

Tip: Once you've cut it, it can be helpful to carefully use a paper piercing tool to release the paper from the die

2

Step 2:

Die cut the patterned papers that will be your card base using the dies from the Nestabilities Card Creator "A-2 Matting Basics B"

3

Step 3:

Distress all edges of the die cut papers using dark brown inks

4

Step 4:

On your second card layer, create some faux stitching by using a ruler, a paper piercing tool and a white gel pen;

Stamp sentiment onto the smallest circle and assemble everything using dimensional foam adhesive5

Step 5:

Embellish your card with ribbon, a decorative pearl pin and some pearls and you are done
