by Beate Johns   Post Type: Card

This week we showcase the gorgeous new A2 Borders. Did you see Linda's beautiful card? She used the scallop borders to create a wonderful edge for your card. I used the bracket border as a while back for a gift card and the scalloped borders for a tri-fold card. So this time, I wanted to try out the curved border dies.

Spellbinders™ Paper Arts Supplies:

Preferred Partners:
Cross Promotional Partners:
Others:
  • Sanding tool, silver cord, button, grey and white cardstock
I adhered two of the A2 Curved Borders One dies with repositionable adhesive on a 5 1/2" wide piece of white cardstock. The cardstock was cut and embossed.

Next I used a different die from the same pack to cut and emboss the edge of a 5 1/2" wide piece of My Mind's Eye Unforgettable patterned paper. The patterned paper was trimmed down so it would be just enough to sit right over the embossed part of the white cardstock. Scor-Tape was added to the back of the white cardstock.

The edges of the patterned paper were sanded. The patterned paper was adhered to the white layer before both layers were adhered to the card base, a 5 1/2" x 7" piece of gray cardstock, folded in half.

White cardstock was cut and embossed with the large butterfly die from the Butterfly Corner. The butter was colored sponged with Imagine Crafts Memento Inks. Foam adhesive squares from SCRAPBOOK ADHESIVE BY 3L were added to the back of the wings, Scor-Tape to the butterfly body.

More white cardstock was cut and embossed with the pennant tag die from Charmed I'm Sure . The left end was cut off and a button was tied on with silver cord before it was adhered to the upper left hand side of the card base.

A sentiment from Flourishes Winter Blossoms was curved on the acrylic block to mimic the curve of the patterned paper. The sentiment was stamped on the left lower edge of the paper.

The butterfly was adhered to the lower right hand side of the patterned paper strip. Red Rhinestones finish off the card.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope this inspires you to create with your dies today! Have a wonderful day.

Hugs and smiles
