A Grand Bucket List with Nestabilities   Tuesday, February 19, 2013
by Candy Rosenberg

This week we are featuring the Grand Nestabilities in layouts. I started out with the intention of adding a photo to this layout but as I progressed, I had this overwhelming feeling that it was time for a new bucket list.  The last one I made was in 2007 after a life altering experience.  I had recently found photos of it on my computer and it was amazing how many things I actually accomplished on this list.  Here I am in 2013, in the midst of another life altering experience….its time to do this again!

Spellbinders™ Paper Arts Supplies:

Cross Promotional Partners:

Others:

  • Used paint brush, red paint, flourish, pen, brown envelope, printed brown envelope, patterned paper, thickers alpha, theme button, tape runner adhesive

Lets Do This….
Start with cutting the patterned paper with the Grand Nestabilities and the Eiffel tower from another patterned paper.

SAMSUNG

Add tape runner adhesive to the back of the kraft envelope and place on the lower left side of the Grand Nestabilities die cut.

SAMSUNG

Using a sheet of Graphic 45’s “A Ladies Diary” patterned paper, hand write your items on your bucket list.  Then adhere to a piece of corrugated cardboard and cut out.

SAMSUNG

Adhere an old long paint brush across the page and “hang” the words sideways.  Add Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares to give it dimension.  Be sure to ink all the edges of the words and corrugated cardboard.  Paint the front of the paint brush with a little red paint for accent.  Add the flourish, mini paper blooms and flower ribbon above the paint brush at the top of the die cut.

SAMSUNG

Now add your Eiffel tower die cut to the right of the kraft envelope, attach the Paris theme button to the middle of the die cut.  Place three rows of May Arts twine down on the top of the envelope flap.  I then added a strip of some fun bling fabric that I cut down into 3 rows and adhered to the same flap under the twine.  This envelope is so that you can add to your bucket list.

SAMSUNG

Its time for the alphas.  I will admit it has been a little while since I have played with my Thickers.  This project needed that touch!
Take your alphas and add each letter to the corrugated cardboard and cut out. Do this with the word “bucket list.”

SAMSUNG

QUICK PEEK on how I store my thickers.  In a plastic divider with color labels.

SAMSUNG

Use the 3D Foam Squares on each letter, add to the layout as shown.

SAMSUNG

All done…looking good!

SAMSUNG

Add an accent envelope with a little red note sticking out to offset the red on the paintbrush.

SAMSUNG

Be Inspired.  ALWAYS.

Your blog post made me think...do you have an inventory list that I can print off to keep track of the Spellbinders I have and the ones I want (my bucket list) or wish list.  This would be very helpful since you have so many now and are adding all the time.

Lee Ann, the envelope on the layout is just for that reason so you can keep adding to it!

Very creative page. My bucket list is to save up for a Grand Calibur Machine. Then all the wonderful larger dies from Spellbinders I can't use in the machine I own.
