On Day Twelve, Becca Feeken will introduce our next reveal, S5-018 Poinsettia Frame, as we continue with a holiday theme. Wait until you see what Becca has in store for us as inspiration!
Becca has been crafting all her life. It started with her mother being the leader of Becca’s brownie troop so crafting was the entertainment in their household. Then she taught Becca to knit and crochet. By the age of 13, Becca began to sew her own clothes. Guess you can say she was never bored as a child! Fast forward to today, she still loves her childhood crafts but added quilting, cross stitch, beading, machine embroidery, machine knitting and stamping. As for sources of inspiration, she has always been drawn to color and texture. Over the years it led her to collect yarn, fabric, thread, paper, ribbons and coloring tools. “When you hold these things in your hands, it’s easy to dream of the possibilities…”
Many thanks to Debbie Seyer for her beautiful cards she created with S4-233 Labels Nine die template! Great idea on placing the frame in a different position and the shaker box feature! Remember to enter our Frenzy contest by sending in an email by July 19th (11:59 PM EST). The email link is in Debbie’s blog!
Design Team Member Lesa Rapp will be using today’s reveal, S4-230 Labels Six to make her wonderful creation to inspire us with!
Do you have a scrap room or a scrap area?
I have my own room! When my kids all took over the basement, I snagged the room. It is approximately 10 x 15 and all mine! I want to redo the floor and paint. But for now, I am slowly getting IKEA items to get it organized. I love my kitchen unit - the drawers are amazing and it is so pretty. I just got myself an Expedit shelf unit and I love it as well. It is so nice having a place where I can just shut the door if I want.
Are you a messy crafter or an organized crafter?
Unfortunately I am messy. I stamp and work with paper and make a big old mess. When it gets hard to move around, I clean it up and start over. I am working on that one :0)
Your favorite color combination to work with?
I love pink and brown! I was only blessed with one girl and I think as I get older, my girly side is coming out!
Your favorite Spellbindersâ„¢ piece you made so far?
I think my flower pot card. Although my Spellbindersâ„¢ final project made with dies we were sent comes in pretty close as a second project.
Your favorite music or TV programs while creating?
My TV died. I have an iPod in a docking system that I play mostly. My favorite music is anything Brad Paisley. I have been to four of his concerts and I never tire of listening to him.
Here are some of Lesa’s favorite Spellbindersâ„¢ pieces!

Do you have a scrap room or a scrap area?
I have this nice little corner of my basement. My husband, Keith, fixed it up with cabinets and a small counter (where my Wizardâ„¢ sits) plus room for extra tables and my computer.
Are you a messy crafter or an organized crafter?
I am an extremely messy crafter. I usually have my kids help me clean up all the bits of cardstock, glitter, etc. every couple of weeks. My supplies are pretty well organized. At least, I know where they are!
Favorite color combinations to work with?
I love the Pink/Brown color combo and variations of it! I use it a lot and just love those colors together.
Are you an altered arts, scrapbook or card kinda gal?
I am definitely a card kinda gal. I love to make cards and find it’s the easiest part of my design team projects to fulfill!
Who is your favorite promotional partner?
I actually have two favorites. My Mind’s Eye is one. I just love the beautiful patterned papers. It’s all so colorful and easy to work with. I like Core’dinations cardstock. It is such a unique product to work with. I love all the different looks you can get with it when sanding, embossing or distressing.

Sherry has been doing some sort of crafting since she was a little girl. Craft items were always available to her as a child from crayons to paints by numbers. From a kind neighbor, she learned how to knit. Her aunt taught Sherry how to embroider and cross-stitch. She painted with oils and watercolors for many years. Even earned some spending money in college by selling watercolor paintings of race cars at the local speedway. Sherry was introduced to rubber stamping when her girls were young and eventually became her craft of choice. Sherry’s favorite Spellbinders die template (for now) are the S4-138 Petite Ovals, Large and S4-085 Snowflake Wonder (how timely!). She enjoys creating cards and dabbling in altered items. Sherry considers her style to be very eclectic.

Do you have a scrap room or a scrap area?
We have a walk-in closet…or so it used to be. My sweet husband has so graciously allowed me to convert half of it into my “scrap space.”
Are you a messy crafter or an organized crafter?
Messy, for sure!
Who is your favorite promotional partner?
I was beyond thrilled when I found out that Cosmo Cricket was on Spellbinders’ promotional partners. I love their papers!
Do you have a favorite snack while creating?
M&Ms and pretzels…I’m a sweet and salty kinda gal!
Are you more of a “collector” or an “as needed” crafter?
I’m definitely an “as needed” crafter. However, if something new comes out that I think I can’t live without, I pretty much talk myself into why I “need” it but then I do use it!
Here are some of Julie’s most recent projects to share!
Don’t forget for those of you who are entering our Frenzy contest - you have until July 15th (11:59PM EST) to send in your email. The link is in Heidi’s blog.
Do you have a scrap room or a scrap area?
Yes, I am so thankful to be able to leave my work out. I can close the door and not worry about our toddler or the cat getting into mischief. My husband and I share the space. So when he works on his projects and I work on mine…it’s nice to be together.
Are you a messy crafter or an organized crafter?
For being such an organized person (obsessively so), my scrap room is a mess. I have yet to find the perfect solution. But my room is set up perfectly for me to work. Everything I use constantly is within easy reach. So my room isn’t pretty but functional.
Your favorite music or TV programs while creating?
Sometimes I will watch my favorite old movies but I am usually singing my lungs out to my iPod. It’s a pretty eclectic mix. Everything from Avalon, The Gaither Vocal Band, Poison, Garth Brooks to Andrew Lloyd Weber.
Do you have a favorite snack or drink while creating?
It used to be a cold Mt. Dew filled with ice. But I quit drinking sugar pop so now it’s water. I prefer a bottle because I am clumsy. My favorite snack food is Harry and David’s Moose Munch, the dark chocolate version.
Are you more of a “collector” or a “as needed” crafter?
I collect because I need :0)
Here are some wonderful samples of Kimberly’s work!
