Savvy Saturday~Elegant New Year’s Eve Party

The halls are decked, the lists are checked, and the celebrations have begun.  So what are you doing on New Year’s Eve?  We’ve all been invited to Design Team Member Debbie Seyer’s house for an elegant celebration.  Look at the fabulous tablescape she’s created with Spellbinders™ die templates and Impressabilities™!

Oh, you can’t make it?  We’ll miss you!  Debbie was kind enough to share how she made her party supplies so you can recreate them for your own celebration.

Menu Card (mmmm, sounds yummy!):
1. Compose Menu using word processor and print onto white cardstock. Center die template over text and  cut/emboss with S5-006 Curved Rectangles #5 (with #1 being the smallest). Cut/emboss S5-006 Curved Rectangles #6 with purple cardstock and adhere to menu.
2. Print year out onto white cardstock using word processor. Cut/emboss with S4-229 Labels Five #3 and adhere to purple cardstock cut/embossed from S4-229 Labels Five #4 die template .
3. Attach year label to menu, and adhere three Creative Impressions rhinestones.

Candle:
1. Wrap strip of purple cardstock around candle and adhere using strong adhesive. Print “Happy New Year 2010″ onto white cardstock with word processor. Position, then cut/emboss white cardstock using S4-218 Lattice Borderabilities® Petite. Adhere this over the purple cardstock.  *Be sure to remove paper from candle before lighting it.

Napkin Ring:
1.  Cut/emboss purple cardstock using S4-210 Lattice Pendants.
2. Onto white cardstock, print year. Position, then cut/emboss with S4-229 Labels Five #3.
3.  Adhere year label to middle of Lattice Pendants die cut and add rhinestones.
4.  Adhere a loop of purple cardstock to back of Lattice Pendants die cut pendant to form napkin ring.

Name Card:
1.  Print out guest’s names. Cut/emboss using S4-229 Labels Five #3. Adhere rhinestones along bottom of name.
2. Cut/emboss purple cardstock using S4-229 Labels Five #4. Adhere to white name tag.
3. Cut/emboss purple cardstock using S5-019 Labels Eight # 6.
4. Cut white cardstock using S5-019 Labels Eight #5 die template.
5. Keeping cardstock in die, emboss with I2-1009 Flourish Impressabilities™. Adhere to purple Labels Eight die cut and fold in half.
6. Adhere name tag to top of folded Labels Eight die cut and tie ribbon.

Wine Glass Charm:
1. Cut polyshrink plastic with S4-210 Lattice Pendants (you will probably need at least 2 passes in the Wizard™ and turn die template 90º after each pass).
2. Using Copic Airbrush System, airbrush one side using purple Copic Sketch Marker.
3. Spell out guest’s name using JustRite Stampers Special Occasions Font and Rectangle Stamper. On the side not airbrushed, stamp name in middle of Lattice Pendants die cut using black solvent ink pad.
4. Shrink according to manufacturer’s instructions.
5. Allow to cool, and attach a wine charm holder.

Pyramid Box:
1. Cut purple cardstock to 9 x 9”. Score at 3” all the way around. Cut away the four corners until you have what looks like a plus sign.
2. Cut each outside piece into a triangle, with the point at the center.
3. Emboss four - 2 ¾ x 2 ¾” pieces of white cardstock using I2-1009 Flourish Impressabilities™. Cut into triangles and adhere to pyramid sides.
4. Punch holes in top of each triangle and thread ribbon through. Tie ribbon together to hold box. (Before tying ribbon, place party favor inside of box.)

This is Debbie’s supply list: Spellbinders™ I2-1009 Flourish Impressabilities™; S4-229 Labels Five; S5-019 Labels Eight; S5-006 Curved Rectangles; S4-218 Lattice Borderabilities® Petite; S4-210 Lattice Pendants; Copic, Sketch Markers and Air Brush System; Creative Impressions, Rhinestones; JustRite Stampers, Special Occasions Font and Rectangle Stamper; SCRAPBOOK ADHESIVES by 3L, adhesives; white and purple cardstock; word processor and printer; ribbon; wine charm holder; polyshrink plastic; candle.
