5¼ x 5¼" card by Debbie Seyer
Debbie wanted to create a card with ALOT of dimension! By cutting apart several of the poinsettia flowers from the Poinsettia Border Grand, applying clear embossing powder for shine and layering them, she accomplished just that. To add a little something extra, she embossed the Labels Nine die on the white background to frame the gorgeous poinsettia flower.
Ingredients: S7-016 Poinsettia Border Grand; S4-221 Poinsettia and Stars; S4-233 Labels Nine
Cross Promotional Products: The Paper Studio, Red and Green Cardstock; Creative Impressions, Bits of Bling Rhinestone; Copic, Sketch Marker; Glue Dots, Glue Dots
Other Supplies: Embossing Powder; Heat Embossing Tool; Red Satin Ribbon; Adhesive Ink
Instructions:
- Make base of card from 5¼” x 5¼” green cardstock. Fold in half.
- Cut/emboss red cardstock using S7-016 Poinsettia Border Grand, hand cut flower portions, Debbie used 4 flowers.
- Cut/emboss green cardstock using S7-016 Poinsettia Border Grand. Cut out 1 whole flower portion.
- Using adhesive pad, ink all pieces and dust with clear embossing powder and heat set.
- Adhere all pieces together with Glue Dots. Start with the green flower on bottom. Build up your flower so that the green leaves show. Use 4 layers of red flowers.
- Adhere 4 rhinestones in the middle of flower and color with yellow Copic marker.
- Using the S4-233 Labels Nine die template, emboss only the die in the middle of a piece of 4¾ x 4¾” white cardstock. On bottom edge, cut/emboss using the poinsettia border from S4-221 Poinsettia & Stars. Tie red ribbon around layer. Layer onto a piece of 5 x 5” red cardstock.
- Using Foam squares, place poinsettia flower in the center of the embossed white card front.
