4 x 9" plaque by Kimberly Crawford

Inspired by the colors on the Crafty Secrets Cotton Scrap, Kimberly designed her art to complement it.  She incorporated wintery blues and Create A Flake 2 for her background, and mimicked the reds and yellows with Long Rectangles, both Classic and Scalloped. The holly from Holly and Lights adds a bit of green.  She finished it off with a bow to make a charming winter plaque.

Ingredients: S4-144 Long Rectangles, Small; S4-145 Long Scalloped Rectangles, Small; S3-139 Holly and Lights; S4-223 Create A Flake 2

Instructions:

1. Cover Wood shape with patterned paper.


2. Sand and ink the edges with Creamy Brown Ink.


3. Cut/emboss Create A Flake 2 pieces from blue cardstock, ink edges.


4. Adhere Create A Flake 2 pieces to plaque.


5. Cut/emboss Long Classic Rectangle from yellow cardstock


6. Cut/emboss Long Classic Scalloped Rectangle from red cardstock.  Adhere to yellow piece.


7. Cut/emboss Holly and Lights (Holly) from green cardstock, sand embossed areas.


8. Color pearls/gems with Red Copic Marker, adhere to holly pieces, then adhere holly to rectangles.


9. Tie ribbon around rectangle and adhere to plaque.


10. Foam mount cotton scrap onto rectangle piece at a slight angle.
