Hello, crafty friends!
Isha Gupta here and I am so happy to be on the Spellbinders blog featuring the
International Sentiments (German). I’ve been wanting some sentiments in German for my friends here and these are simply perfect. There is a press plate included which I used to foil the sentiments. I kept the color palette similar for all three cards and wanted to share we can still get a different look.
Gute Besserung Card

This means “Get Well Soon” in German. This is something I would like to keep in my stash, especially during the flu season. I went for a soft feel using pastels and cheerful colors.
I used
Champagne foil and used my
Glimmer Hot Foil system to foil the image. There are coordinating dies to die-cut all the sentiments. I die-cut another banner using
Mirror Gold cardstock and matted it behind the sentiment. I die-cut the florals from the Be Bold Blooms dies using various colors of cardstock. I sponged a bit of distress inks to some places to add some depth.

I die-cut a peach layer using the
Nested Postage Labels and Tags Etched dies from the Bayfair collection. I also die-cut a cream frame using the same dies. Adhere the frame onto the peach layer. Create the cluster, add the sentiment banner and adhere to the card.
Alles Gute Zum Geburtstag Card

This means “Happy Birthday” in german. I used the same colors as my first card but wanted to show you how by changing the colors we can create a masculine card too.
I started by creating the background so for the texture I used, the
Checkered Argyle Embossing Folder onto a blue panel. I then added some black soot distress ink to the edges of the blue card.

I die-cut the number 29 using the
Bold Numbers dies. I matted the blue numbers with
Mirror Gold cardstock and adhered to the panel using 3d foam.
I then adhered the sentiment banner and then arranged the florals around it.
Danke Card

Danke in German means “Thank You” and I really like to give thank you cards to my friends. Here I used the
German Everyday Sentiment Etched Dies. I die-cut the word using
Mirror Gold cardstock and used vellum to die-cut the shadow. Adhere the word to the shadow.
I then die-cut a frame from white card using the
Nested Postage Labels and Tags Etched dies from the Bayfair collection.

Here I used the smaller panel. I sponged taffy distress oxide behind the postage panel, and adhered it using 3d foam. I then assembled the floral cluster and then adhered the sentiment. Finally, I added this panel to a dark peach cardstock.
I hope you got inspired by this trio of cards featuring various products from the
International Sentiments (German) Collection. Thank you for stopping by and have a nice day! You can find more inspiration on my blog, Instagram and YouTube Channel.
