Hello, crafty friends!! Brenda Noelke here from
My PaperCut Creations! I’m super excited to be a guest on the Spellbinders blog today! I’m sharing three cards using
Nature’s Botanicals Collection designed by Susan Tierney-Cockburn!!
LIVE LIFE IN FULL BLOOM

For my first card, I die-cut the flowers, branches, and leaves from the
Flowering Quince die set from
Barely Peach,
Saffron and Rainforest cardstocks. I added shading and details with Copic markers, then used the
Ultimate Tool Kit to shape and form the petals and leaves and roll the centers for the flowers. The layers were all adhered together using liquid glue.

For the background I die-cut a panel of white cardstock with the largest die in the
A2 Matting Basics A Card Creator die set and embossed it with the
Botanical Wreath 3D embossing folder. It was splattered with diluted black ink and adhered to an A2 panel of
Barely Peach cardstock, once it was dry. The flowers and leaves were all arranged and adhered with liquid glue.

The sentiment, from the
Nature’s Botanicals Garden Sentiments press plates and die set, was pressed onto porcelain Betterpress cardstock with black Betterpress ink, then cut out with the coordinating die. It was adhered with foam tape to finish off the card. I just got the
Betterpress System and can’t wait to use it more!!
HAPPY BLOOMING BIRTHDAY

I started this card by die-cutting all the elements in the
Landscape Rose etched die set from Chamomile,
Saffron, and
Fern cardstocks. I added shading to them with Distress inks and
blending brushes, shaped the flowers and leaves using the
Ultimate Tool Kit, and then adhered them all together with liquid glue.

For the background, I embossed an A2 panel of white cardstock with the
Botanical Wreath 3D embossing folder, blended a bit of pink ink around the perimeter with a
blending brush. It was then splattered with diluted black ink. Once dry, the flowers and leaves were arranged and adhered to the background with liquid glue.

This sentiment is also from the
Nature’s Botanicals Garden Sentiments press plates and die set. It was pressed onto porcelain Betterpress cardstock with black Betterpress ink, cut out with the coordinating die, then adhered with foam tape.
YOU’RE IN MY THOUGHTS

My final card features the
Azalea and Garden Pot with Ladybug die set. The flowers and leaves were die-cut from
Pink Sand,
Saffron and Rainforest cardstocks. I added shading using dye inks and
blending brushes.

For the background on this one, I die-cut a panel of white cardstock with the largest die in the
A2 Matting Basics A Card Creator die set. I used the
Botanical Wreath 3D embossing folder on this one, as well. What can I say? I love the texture from embossing folders...especially the 3D ones!! It was embossed onto the white cardstock panel and splattered with diluted black ink. Once dry, it was adhered to an A2 panel of
Pink Sand cardstock. The flowers and leaves were all arranged and adhered with liquid glue.

This sentiment is once again from the
Nature’s Botanicals Garden Sentiments press plates and die set. It was pressed onto porcelain Betterpress cardstock with black Betterpress ink, cut out with the coordinating die, then popped up with foam adhesive.
