Hello, crafty friends! This is
Emily Leiphart and I’m thrilled to be back on the Spellbinders blog, featuring the
Oh Joyful Day Card Making Kit by Rosie’s Studio. The holidays are always such a busy time and fabulous kits like this one help me make lots of beautiful Christmas cards in no time at all!

The
Oh Joyful Day Card Making Kit includes the
Oh Joyful Day 6x6” Designer Paper Pad,
Oh Joyful Day Chipboard Embellishments,
Oh Joyful Day Clear Sticker Pack, and
Oh Joyful Day Button Embellishments. All of these products are also available individually, which means you can purchase extras when you run out. My three cards feature 6 of the 20 patterns in the
Oh Joyful Day 6x6” Designer Paper Pad, three of the
Oh Joyful Day Chipboard Embellishments, and 4 of the 140
Oh Joyful Day Cardstock Diecut Ephemera. There’s a lot to love in these products!

For this first card design, I used the
Precision Layering A2 A Dies to cut the red base layer and the
Fresh Picked Labels to cut the foiled Fa La La designer paper. Next, I used matching ephemera pieces and I gently rolled the edges with my fingers to give them more dimension. Finally, I placed a chipboard sentiment in the center and added a few gold sequins. I love that they highlight the foiled details in the Fa La La on the designer paper, hollies in the ephemera and sentiment on the chipboard.

Again, I used the
Precision Layering A2 A Dies to cut the striped designer paper for the base layer on this second card. I love these colours and will save this color palette for future projects!

The candle is a single diecut ephemera. Its substantial size allows it to be the focus of this card and it’s absolutely gorgeous. I wanted to highlight the gold foil detail at the base of the candle by adding foliage behind the ephemera piece. These
Holiday Blooms were cut from
Mirror Gold Cardstock. To finish, I added a small but sweet chipboard sentiment.

This third card was really fun to create! I selected two designer papers and cut them both using the largest of the largest of the
Perfect Touch Rectangles. Then I used my paper trimmer to cut the poinsettia and foliage paper on an angle, gluing the bottom half to the red paper. I knew I wanted to use this chipboard tag as my focal point. To highlight my favorite piece in this collection, I used the tag die from the
Perfect Touch Rectangles but partially diecut the detail end twice on pink designer paper for visual interest. I placed it on an angle before popping up the chipboard tag, which I looped with gold cord. To finish, I added a small pink holly diecut ephemera.

I hope you find plenty of inspiration from my cards made with the
Oh Joyful Day Card Making Kit and
Oh Joyful Day Cardstock Diecut Ephemera add-on set! All of the products in this collection make it so quick and easy to get all your holiday cards made.
