The Oh What Fun! Live Event will be hosted at the BRAND NEW AC Hotel Phoenix North Norterra, located at 25100 N 22nd Ln, Phoenix, AZ 85085 August 27-29th, 2026.
You’ll get a special rate of $129/night (not including taxes, but there is no RESORT FEE!). We have extended the hotel rate for three days before the event and three days after should you wish to make a longer trip out of it. Not only is the space absolutely beautiful, but the host hotel also boasts a full restaurant and lounge, pool, fitness center, and even a pickleball court (though it’ll be pretty hot to play!).

The event venue is located approximately 25 miles from Sky Harbor International Airport, which is the primary airport in Phoenix. Ubers and taxis are available, as are rental cars should you wish to explore more during your time in Phoenix. Free, uncovered parking is available at the hotel.
Mesa-Gateway is another airport servicing the Phoenix Metro area; this airport is located at the opposite end of the Valley, approximately 54 miles from the event venue but can often be a good choice for travelers coming from smaller cities.
-
The Spellbinders office is located approximately 3 miles from the event venue. We’re excited to invite live attendees to visit the office on Thursday before the event kicks off at 6pm. As it gets closer to the event, we’ll ask attendees to sign up for shifts between 11am and 3pm. Transportation to headquarters will not be provided, but Uber and Lyft are available.
While there, we invite you to meet the team, record a message in the video studio, enjoy snacks, and even visit the warehouse!
-
Kim Kesti will act as your primary instructor and event hostess. We are also thrilled to be joined by our very own Channin Pelletier, and guest instructor Nichol Spohr.

Anyone who loves die cutting and creating! Even if you are totally new to card making, this event is for you! We will walk you step by step through each project. It’s perfect for experienced card makers, too. You will learn new techniques and enjoy some fun creative surprises.
We love young crafters! To keep everything running smoothly, we ask that all young registrants be age 13 or older and accompanied by a registered adult. While we appreciate creative kids, please plan for a sitter if your littles are under 13.
-
We know crafting with your besties is always more fun!
Immediately after you submit your registration, you’ll receive a link to a questionnaire, where you will detail which, if any, friends you wish to be seated near. You will also identify any dietary restrictions or mobility needs.
-
Basic tool kit: favorite paper trimmer, scissors, adhesive (wet glue, tape runner, foam adhesive), stamp positioner or block.
Additional projects and supplies for Open Create nights
Creativity, enthusiasm and a friendly smile.
A more detailed supply list will be provided as we get closer to the event.
-
Lunch will be provided both Friday and Saturday at the event. Some snacks and drinks will also be provided during the Open Create time on Friday evening. Event participants will have the opportunity to explore the nearby area for popular restaurants for dinner, and we’ll leave plenty of time so you won’t miss a thing!

There’s lots of fun things to experience in Phoenix. Nearby the event hotel there are places to golf, a fun water park, and the award-winning Musical Instrument Museum. If you’re renting a car or willing to Uber, the downtown area of Phoenix has plenty to explore. However, be sure to keep in mind that Phoenix in August is hot! Plan to rise early for outdoor activities, wear sunscreen, and drink lots of water.
-
We understand that life happens. While cancellations for the Live event are non-refundable, they are transferable to another person if we are notified in advance (by July 15th). If you would rather not transfer your registration to another person, but instead be shipped your kit, we can accommodate that as well, with advanced notice. Please email ohwhatfun@spellbinders.us with any changes.
-
You’ve probably heard about Phoenix: it is hot! Temperatures in Phoenix average 105 degrees in late August. We will be indoors and hotel ballrooms tend to be well air conditioned so be sure to pack layers. We will also be reminding you throughout the weekend to drink lots of water! The hotel is across the street from an outdoor shopping center with restaurants for dinner, but if you plan on walking, know you will get hot and take precautions.
-
Oh What Fun! Live Event participants will receive additional information via emails over the next several months with details such as supply lists, transportation information, local restaurant info, and more. Your initial email will also include an invitation to join our private Facebook group where you can CONNECT with other crafters, make new friends, and get excited for the big event!
If you have any other questions about the event, please email ohwhatfun@spellbinders.us.
