Hello there,
Michelle Short here, and I am delighted to be back on the Spellbinders blog today sharing three projects using the
Happy Hour Collection. This fabulous collection features cocktails that you can dress up for different seasons, some fun sentiments, an embossing folder, rectangle dies and a press plate.
HERE FOR THE BOOS

For my first card, I am using
Olive Martinis Etched Dies, along with
Boos! Cocktails, to dress it up for Halloween.
To make this card:
- Die cut Olive Martinis glass from Onyx Cardstock Adhere one on top of another for added dimension.
- Die cut drink part of the die from white cardstock and add ink blending using Distress Inks (Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn, and Rustic Wilderness). Splatter Distress Ink and shimmer spray on top and set aside to dry.
- Once dry, adhere pieces together and then adhere behind the glass.
TIP: I decided not to use acetate for my glasses, but for a more realistic look, cut the inside piece of the glass from acetate and adhere behind one of the outside layers of the glass. You could also make a fun shaker this way too!
I cut the edges off the base of the glass so that the witch’s legs would be the stem and the feet be the base.
- Die cut the largest size of Perfect Touch Rectangles and Tag Etched Dies from white cardstock.
- Add ink blending to the bottom of the panel using Wilted Violet and Villainous Potion Distress Inks. Splatter water on top and set aside to dry.
- One dry, adhere to A2 sized white card base.
CHEERS ON YOUR BIRTHDAY

For my next project, I am using
Sunset in a Glass Etched Dies, along with
Tropical Flair to dress it up for a birthday card.
To make this card:
- Die-cut Sunset in a Glass cocktail glass from white cardstock twice. Adhere one on top of another for added dimension.
- Die cut drink part from white cardstock and add ink blending using Distress Inks (Squeezed Lemonade, Dried Marigold, Picked Raspberry and Festive Berries).
- Splatter shimmer spray on top and set aside to dry.
- Once dry, adhere behind the glass.
- Die cut the largest size of Perfect Touch Rectangles and Tag Etched Dies from white cardstock.
- Add ink blending to the bottom of the panel using Picked Raspberry Distress Ink. Splatter water on top and set aside to dry.
- Once dry, adhere to A2 sized white card base.
- Adhere glass to card using Bearly Art Glue.
MERRY LITTLE COCKTAIL

For my last project, I am using the
Olive Martinis Etched Dies again, but this time along with the
Christmas Cocktails Etched Dies, to dress it up for Christmas.
To make this card:
- Die-cut Olive Martinis glass from white cardstock twice. Adhere one on top of another for added dimension.
- Die cut drink part of the die from white cardstock and add Fossilized Amber Distress Spritz on top. Set aside to dry.
- Once dry, adhere pieces together and then adhere behind the glass.
This is such a fun collection! I really enjoyed dressing up the cocktails for different seasons! Thank you so much for stopping by today, I hope you have a wonderful day!
