Hi folks, Kavya from
@handmadebykavya is here with some fun inspiration for Anne’s new collection -
Propogation Garden.

I love playing with dies, especially ones that can be used in multiple ways. You will find that collection is versatile as well! I have three cards for you today, all showing you unique ways to expand the potential of this collection? Who doesn’t like that?
Valentine’s Day Chemistry
My first card shows you a fun way to use this collection for Valentine’s Day or for your special someone! I started off by die-cutting elements from
Laboratory Glassware and
Propagation Garden Frames. I cut the beakers out of
Fruit Punch, White, and
Dune, and the frames out of
Brushed Gold cardstock. I used
Fruit Punch,
Alabaster, and
Pink Sand for the flowers and
Fern and
Peridot for the stems. For the cardbase, I used another brand’s bright pink cardstock ink with edges ink blended using coordinating dye ink. I finished it by adding a sentiment from
Propagation Garden Sentiments.
Terrarium Card
My next is inspired by a Terrarium that I have on my desk. Some of the plants in the
Propagated Plants die set aren’t exactly what you find in a terrarium but cardmaking has no rules! I first prepared my cardbase by using
Cosmic Sky cardstock embossed using
Leafy Helix embossing folder. I created a terrarium using
Essential Arched dies and for the base, I actually used the wood grain bars from
Propagation Garden Frames. I used
Blue Spruce and
Sage cardstock for this. For the plants, I used
Fern and
Peridot cardstock and hand cut some ‘soil’ using Latte cardstock. Ink blend the edges of all cardstock with coordinating dye ink to add depth! Added a sentiment using
Propagation Garden Sentiments and I was done!
Tropical Garden
My final card uses the
Tropical Leaves Betterpress plates. There are so many ways in which you can use these as the focal point of a card but they are also perfect for creating a fun background. I heat embossed using these better plates on Indigo cardstock. The cardbase uses black cardstock and is embossed using
Leafy Helix embossing folder. For the Lily, I used Humming Bird and Lily die set and ink blended the petals using pink and peach dye inks. For the stems, I used
Fern and
Peridot cardstock ink blended with coordinating dye ink. Instead of a sentiment, I decided to use a wax seal using
Oval Hello and some
DMC Light Gold thread.

That’s it! I hope you like all these projects! Can’t wait to see what you all make J
Happy Crafting,
