Hello there and welcome to day 4 of 12 Days of Stitchmas 2024! It’s
Michelle Short here and I am delighted to be sharing two cards with you today using the
12 Days of Stitchmas 2024 Advent Calendar, incorporating elements from the
12 Days of Stitchmas Stitch Along Add-on Kit.
What’s behind door 4? It’s Santa!

MAIN KIT CARD

For my first card, I am using just the
12 Days of Stitchmas 2024 Advent Calendar, as well as the
12 Days of Stitchmas Stitch Along Add-on Kit.
I die-cut Santa using the cardstock in the kit (adding in a little of
Alabaster from my stash). I used the DMC White Diamant Metallic Thread to stitch his beard and then assembled him using
Bearly Art Glue.

I stamped the sentiment from the Exclusive Sentiment Set in the kit onto a 3 ¼” x 6 ¼” panel of white cardstock using black ink. It was adhered onto the same size white card base and then Santa popped on top with
foam squares. To finish, I added a Fashion Oyster Pearl from the kit onto his hat.
LET’S STEP THINGS UP!

For my second card, I wanted to keep the design pretty similar but step it up a little! I again die-cut Santa using the cardstock in the kit (along with
Alabaster for his face). This time I stitched his beard using the DMC Light Gold Diamant Metallic Thread in the kit.
I also die-cut the fluffy parts of his hat from
White Pop-Up Die Cutting Glitter Foam Sheets to add a bit of extra sparkle to the card!

For the card base, I added ink blending to a panel of Poppy Field Cardstock (in the
12 Days of Stitchmas Stitch Along Add-on Kit) using Distress Inks and
Ink Blending Brushes. It was adhered to a white 4 ¼” x 6 ¼” card base and Santa adhered on top with
foam squares.
The sentiment was stamped and heat embossed using
Gold Embossing Powder, cut into a strip and adhered to the card with more
foam squares.
To finish, I die-cut holly and berries from
Parcel & Post Christmas Decorations and adhered them to Santa’s hat before embellishing with Christmas Red Stickles.
I hope I have inspired you today for day 4 of the 12 Days of Stitchmas. Happy stitching!
