Spring Has Sprung!
Mar 13, 2024
Hi folks, Kavya from @handmadebykavya is here with some fun inspiration for Simon Hurley’s new collection - Tulip Garden.
I love playing with dies, especially ones that can be used in multiple ways. You will find that the collection is versatile as well! I have three cards for you today, all inspired by different painting styles!
Then, I die cut the card using Stitched Starry Argyle die, Infinity Punch and Pierced Etched dies, and Essential Arched Dies. Shaped cards are an easy way to make your cards interesting! Then, I die-cut the tulips from Tulip Trio using white cardstock. I ink-blended the tulips using various shades of purple and pink dye ink. For the leaves, I die-cut those out of Fern and Peridot cardstock and ink-blended them using coordinating dye ink. Added a sentiment out of Handwritten Sentiments and splattered some glitter mist and I was done!
Then, I die cut and ink blended tulips just like how I did in the previous card but used shades of yellow, orange, red, and pink dye inks. I added some filler flowers using Sealed Blooms and Sealed Bouquet dies. The leaves and stems were cut using Fern and Peridot cardstock. Then, I added sentiments using the new Handwritten Sentiments die and Be Bold Uppercase dies to finish off the card. The backers for the sentiments were also ink-blended using dye inks!
Then, I water-colored on top using shades of pink, blue, yellow, and green. Splatter some white paint to make it realistic and finish off your card by matting on Portobello cardstock, adding a sentiment from Handwritten Sentiments die cut from Mirror Gold cardstock, and some sequins!

That’s it! I hope you like all these projects! Can’t wait to see what you all make J
Happy Crafting,
