Hi there, this is
Annie Williams and I’m thrilled to be back on the blog today to share a couple of simple and pretty cards incorporating the beautiful butterfly stickers in the new
Timeless Collection from Spellbinders. These shimmery, three-dimensional stickers are perfect for adding easy and dynamic accents or focal points to an otherwise ordinary card project.
Fluttering Thinking of You Card
If you want to give your butterfly stickers the look of movement, it’s easiest to create a fluttering path of these beauties on a larger card such as a 5” x 7” or slimline card. Here I added three brightly colored butterflies from the
Summer Day Sticker Set to an ombre mini slimline card front for a pretty thinking of you card.

Trim a piece of
Waterfall Cardstock to 3.25” x 6.25”. Die cut
Waterfall,
Teal Topaz, and Lagoon Cardstock twice each using the
Timeless Hearts Border Die. Adhere the border die-cuts from lightest to darkest down the panel of
Waterfall Cardstock, trimming off any overhanging pieces with a pair of scissors. Mat the panel with
Mirror Silver Cardstock and adhere to a top-folding white card base measuring 3.5” x 6.5”.

Apply
Silver Hot Foil to white cardstock using the
Must-Have Sentiments Glimmer Plate Set and cut it out with the coordinating die. Pop the sentiment up on top of the card front with foam adhesive and add three butterflies from the
Summer Day Sticker Pack around the sentiment to complete the card.
Pretty Floral Thinking of You Card
These beautiful butterfly stickers are the perfect finishing touch for floral cards too. Here I added a pop of black to this soft and feminine floral card with a single butterfly from the
Twilight Butterflies Sticker Pack.

Trim a piece of
Fruit Punch Cardstock to 4” x 5.25”. Die cut
Pink Sand Cardstock using the Frame Insert Dies from the
Timeless 5x7 Cardfront Die Set and adhere to the panel, trimming off any overhanging bits with scissors. Adhere the panel to a top-folding A2-sized white card base with foam adhesive. Press a sentiment from the Always You
Timeless Sentiments Press Plate Set onto
Porcelain Cotton Cardstock and cut it out using the oval from the
same die set.

Add the sentiment panel to the center of the card with foam adhesive. Die cut
Pink Sand and Rainforest Cardstock using the flower and leaf dies from the
Vintage Florals Die Set, add a little shading with Picked Raspberry and Mowed Lawn Distress Ink, and assemble with liquid glue and foam adhesive. Adhere the floral bunch to the side of the oval panel and embellish with one of the butterflies from the
Twilight Butterflies Sticker Pack.
Simple Encouragement Card
Because of their association with change and metamorphosis, I love using butterflies on encouragement cards or cards that celebrate a major milestone in a loved one’s life. So I just had to create a card with them using my recently-released
Propagation Garden Collection too!

Trim a piece of
Alabaster Cardstock to 4.25” x 5.5” and stamp a greeting from the
Propagation Garden Sentiments Stamp & Die Set onto the bottom of the panel. Deboss the area above the sentiment using the
Leafy Helix Embossing Folder, and then ink around the edges just a bit with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. Add the panel to a top-folding A2-sized white card base with a tape runner.

Die cut various green cardstocks using the Monstera dies from the
Propagated Plants Die Set, add shading with Mowed Lawn Distress Ink, and assemble with liquid glue. Die cut the frosted glass container from
vellum,
Fog,
Raindrop, and Glacier Cardstock using the
Laboratory Glassware Die Set, assemble and add the plant to the container before popping it up on top of the card front with foam adhesive. Add a brown butterfly (or moth!) from the
Sunset Butterflies Sticker Pack next to the plant.
