Hello, crafty friends, I’m Isha, a designer who finds joy in creativity. Cardmaking is one of my creative escapes, and I especially enjoy playing with color using various mediums. Through my blog, I share not just finished cards, but also the process behind them. I was inspired to create with zodiacs because they celebrate personality and individuality, making each design feel personal and intentional. I love experimenting with different techniques, and zodiacs feel mysterious and ever-changing to me. That’s why I chose watercolors—no two results are ever the same, much like the zodiac itself. I added foil details on watercolor cardstock using my Glimmer machine to enhance that sense of magic and depth. Although all three cards follow the same basic process, each zodiac sign was approached with its own color story to reflect personality, symbolism, and mood. This keeps the designs cohesive while allowing each card to feel intentional and unique.

Libra Card

Libra represents balance, harmony, and calm. I chose soft pastels—pinks, light blues, and hints of lavender to create a peaceful, airy feel. These colors sit close together on the color wheel, creating a low-contrast, harmonious palette that feels gentle and serene.

1. Cut a watercolor cardstock panel to 4 by 5 inches. I am using a hot-press watercolor paper here.
2. Hot foil the Libra image and the sentiment onto this panel using the Libra press plate with the Glimmer system and Polished Brass foil.
3. Die-cut using the Arch die.
4. Wet the panel lightly with clean water.
5. Drop in pastel pink and light blue watercolor, allowing them to blend naturally, which also creates a soft lavender tone.
6. Let the panel dry completely. Add white and gold splatter to enhance the dreamy effect.

7. Mat the arch panel with a gold arch die-cut using 3d foam.
8. Emboss the background white mat layer of Porcelain cotton cardstock using Starshine Background.
9. Adhere the white embossed panel to a white cardbase and then adhere the arch panel to finish the card.

Aries Card

Aries is a fire sign, symbolizing passion, confidence, and movement. Warm reds, yellow and corals were chosen to represent energy and strength. Red is a high-impact color that naturally draws the eye, making it perfect for Aries’ bold personality. Gold foiling enhances the warmth and intensity.

1. Cut a watercolor cardstock panel to 4 by 5 inches. I am using a hot-press watercolor paper here.
2. Hot foil the Aries image and the sentiment onto this panel using the Aries press plate with the Glimmer system and Champagne Hot Foil.
3. Die-cut using the Arch die.
4. Wet the panel lightly with clean water.
5. Drop in Red, yellow, and coral watercolor, allowing them to blend naturally.
6. Let the panel dry completely. Add white and gold splatters for the dynamic, energetic finish.

7. Mat the arch panel with a gold arch die-cut using 3d foam.
8. Emboss the background white mat layer of Porcelain cotton cardstock using Festive Press plate.
9. Adhere the white embossed panel to a white cardbase and then adhere the arch panel to finish the card.

Taurus  Card

Taurus is an earth sign, grounded and nurturing. I used greens paired with soft peach tones to reflect nature, growth, and stability. Green is calming and restorative, while peach adds warmth, preventing the palette from feeling too cool or heavy.

7. Cut a watercolor cardstock panel to 4 by 5 inch. I am using a hot-press watercolor paper here.
8. Hot foil the Taurus image and the sentiment onto this panel using the Taurus press plate with the Glimmer system and Copper Hot Foil.
9. Die-cut using the Arch die.
10. Wet the panel lightly with clean water.
11. Drop in Green, teal, and peach watercolor, allowing them to blend naturally.
12. Let the panel dry completely. Add white and gold splatters to mimic a subtle, starry texture.
13. Mat the arch panel with a gold arch die-cut using 3d foam.
14. Emboss the background white mat layer of Porcelain cotton cardstock using Elliptical Weave plate.
15. Adhere the white embossed panel to a white cardbase and then adhere the arch panel to finish the card.

Hello, crafty people! This is Jennifer Ingle here today, and I am so excited to be sharing these clean and simple designs with you. I created three SUPER simple cards with the absolutely gorgeous Little Leaps and Spring Blessings rub-on transfers from Spellbinders. The thing I love about rub-on transfers is that you can make stunning designs that really shine with very little work. Let me show you how! Each card is created using both the rub-on transfers and gorgeous embossing folder designs. Let’s walk through them! For this card, I used the Lined Circles Embossing Folder to create the background. I particularly love this embossing folder because you can create so many different looks just by changing up where you place your panel in the folder. For this card, I used the half circle to ground the image and the full one as a supporting backdrop to the fussy cut frog design. A few sequins reflect that circular feel along with the sentiment in a circle, keeping the eye focused on that image and all its cuteness! For this design, I chose a rub-on transfer from the Spring Blessings set and paired that with the Scribbled Letter Embossing Folder. A bit of distress ink adds some dimension to the embossing whilst also giving the card a vintage feel. The rub-on image is transferred and then fussy cut and popped up for even more glorious dimension! Pairing with a perfect mat from the Spellbinders cardstock collection finished this spring beauty off perfectly. And then we have this fun little fella! I transferred the rub-on to white cardstock and then simply die cut that in a circle. No fussy cutting required here! The Lined Circles Embossing Folder provides a strong backdrop, and then those sequins are used, yet again, to continue with the circle themes. Another great thing about rub-on transfers is that you can use them on embossed or textured surfaces. I was able to transfer the sentiment over the dry-embossed area for perfect placement!
