Lorena Wakefield, and I’m so happy to be back on the Spellbinders blog as a guest designer! It’s always such a joy to share my projects with you, and today I’m especially excited because I’m working with the
Classic Mouse Christmas collection, a set that instantly brings a smile and a big dose of holiday cheer.
For this post, I created three festive cards, each one highlighting the playful charm of this collection.
Wreath & Lights
I started with a cheerful holiday wreath, layered in bright greens and decorated with colorful lights. I added a big red bow for that classic Christmas touch, and the sentiment
“Here Comes Santa” from my stash completes the look with excitement and anticipation.
Merry & Bright Tree
For the second card, our classic mouse dressed up as Santa, and he is busy decorating the tree. I used multicolored die-cut letters for the word
MERRY, layered with white letters that I handcut to simulate snow, then set them over a softly embossed background. The tree top sparkle with a gold star, giving this design a fun and whimsical vibe.
Santa Mouse & Mistletoe
On the last card, I dressed up the mouse in festive red and placed her under a sprig of mistletoe. The bold
BRIGHT sentiment really pops against the white embossed background, making this card perfect for sending holiday hugs.
I absolutely loved creating with the
Classic Mouse Christmas collection. It’s playful, nostalgic, and full of possibilities. I hope these cards inspire you to bring a bit of holiday magic to your craft table this season!
