Spellbinders Paper Arts Announces Collaboration with Kelly Bangs
January 9th , 2025
Spellbinders Paper Arts is thrilled to announce an exciting collaboration with designer Kelly Bangs and the launch of Kelly’s first collection with Spellbinders, Just Sayin’, coming in February 2025.
Kelly Bangs is a talented graphic designer and illustrator based in sunny Arizona. Living with her husband and two boys, she draws inspiration from her love of vibrant colors, playful patterns, and cute illustrations. She loves to make 12x12 layouts, mini albums, and cards, always looking for fresh sources of inspiration in the world around her. On a recent trip to Tokyo Disney, while others were taking selfies with Mickey, she was taking photos of benches, walls & ceilings because of the inspiring pattern everywhere!
Her creative journey began in a print shop family, sparking a deep appreciation for paper and design. After earning a degree in graphic design, Kelly worked in various traditional design roles, including with print companies, a newspaper, and her church, where she designed business materials. In 2015, Kelly transitioned to working from home for online companies, which ignited her passion for illustration. She’s especially known for her work in the scrapbook industry, where she stands out not only as a designer but as a creator of the very artwork used in her projects.
Kelly’s debut collection with Spellbinders is inspired by the friends she talks to everyday. Centered around speech bubbles, the collection celebrates all the conversations friends share, from silliness and laughter to serious support. Filled with ephemera pieces, dies, stickers and stamps, crafters will find plenty of ways to personalize projects with bits of conversation from their own life. Playful and cute, the Just Sayin’ collection is a fun way to honor friendships of all kinds.
From the first introduction to Kelly’s unique and charming designs, the team at Spellbinders was drawn in by her lovely scrapbook pages and albums. A perfect collaboration between Kelly’s approachable creations and Spellbinders’ die-cutting expertise, this collection will delight card makers and scrapbookers alike.
Check out Kelly Bangs at @kellybangscreative on Instagram and on her website kellybangscreative.com, and stay tuned to see the Just Sayin’ collection, coming to SpellbindersPaperArts.com in February 2025.
Spellbinders Paper Arts Announced Two New Designers for 2025 - Jaycee Gaspar and Nina Boettcher
December 31, 2024
Spellbinders Paper Arts is excited to announce partnership with two new designers coming in 2025: Jaycee Gaspar and Nina Boettcher. Jaycee’s playing card themed collection, Jack of All Trades, and Nina’s celebratory collection, Bougie Birthday, are both releasing in January 2025.
Jaycee Gaspar is a full time Medical Laboratory Scientist and part time crafting content creator from Denver, Colorado. With a lifelong passion for everything creative, Jaycee’s love of card making began during his clinical rotation, when creating handmade cards became both a source of rest for him and a way of spreading joy. Over time, Jaycee built his creative stash and papercrafting skills, sharing projects and videos with a community of like-minded creatives. When he’s not crafting, Jaycee finds solace in his garden, where he connects with nature, one plant at a time, nurturing his creativity and grounding his scientific curiosity.
Jaycee’s unique and meticulous approach to crafting is the perfect harmony of scientific precision and creative freedom. His first collection with Spellbinders, Jack of All Trades, showcases his signature intricate construction with a playful touch that will appeal to all generations. This playing card themed collection features stunning BetterPress plates with precise and elegant designs evoking the familiar emblems from playing cards. The collection is rounded out with a series of charming dies for creating kings and queens for face cards, as well as the pip & rank icons to make custom decks.
A first generation Greek-American, Nina Boettcher was born and raised in the Midwest and now lives with her family in San Jose, California. A true creative, some of Nina’s earliest memories are cross stitching with her grandmother as a little girl. These days she can be found trying her hand at all kinds of crafting, from sewing and pottery to 3D printing. Cardmaking will forever remain a passion of Nina’s, however. She strongly believes that making and sending cards is one of the best ways to show someone you care. Nina is the owner and operator of a craft store in the San Fransisco Bay area and spends her days sharing her passion for cardmaking and scrapbooking with her customers.
Nina’s Bougie Birthday collection was designed to celebrate special occasions in the glitzy and sparkly way that is her signature. While she loves the fun of living in a house with her husband and four sons, life is a little less glittery than she’d like. Inspired by her love of celebrating in style with her besties and fancy treats, Nina’s debut collection with Spellbinders was the perfect opportunity to channel her girly side. The collection centers around a delicious cake die set and includes plenty of great staples for all kinds of celebrations – with some sparkle thrown in!
Both the Bougie Birthday Collection from Nina Boettcher and the Jack of All Trades Collection from Jaycee Gaspar are available from SpellbindersPaperArts.com and independent retailers in early January 2025.
Be sure to follow Spellbinders for more information, and keep an eye on these up-and-coming designers on their social media. Nina can be found as NinaBCreates on Instagram and Youtube, and Jaycee can be found as @jaycee.gaspar on Instagram and on his blog at http://jgaultier.wordpress.com.

Spellbinders Paper Arts Announces Collaboration With Simple Stories
December 9, 2024
Spellbinders Paper Arts is excited to announce a fresh collaboration with beloved papercrafting brand Simple Stories!
It’s a match made in crafting heaven as Spellbinders’ expertise in die-cutting comes together with the adorable designs and scrapbook essentials from Simple Stories. Or perhaps it’s a match made in the 100-Acre wood! Simple Stories and Spellbinders team up to create a storybook collection around everyone’s favorite silly old bear, Classic Pooh, coming in January 2025. Spellbinders’ dies and BetterPress plates will be available on SpellbindersPaperArts.com starting January 10, with Simple Stories coordinating releases available at retail stores in mid-January.
Simple Stories began in 2002, when the husband and wife team Amber and Kevin Crowell had a dream of creating a business for paper crafters and hobbyists to share their passion for memory keeping. With a small start-up business named MemoryWorks, the two began a journey of developing time-saving scrapbook products that inspire memory keepers everywhere to share their stories in a simple and accessible way.
As a busy mother passionate about keeping the precious memories of her family, Amber dreamed of creating beautiful albums, but quickly discovered that scrapbooking could be overwhelming, with too many photos and ideas, but never enough time. Fueled by a desire to create time-saving scrapbook products, Simple Stories was born.
For Simple Stories’ first collaboration with Spellbinders, stepping back in time with the nostalgic charm of the beloved Classic Pooh was a natural fit. With her origins in capturing stories of family life with young children, Amber was inspired by the days of sharing her own childhood favorite with her children.
The Say Cheese Classic Pooh collection features dies of the inhabitants of the 100-Acre Wood, as well as BetterPress plates reminiscent of the original illustrations from the A.A. Milne novels. Rounding out the collection is a set of sweet sentiments, an alphabet die set in a playful font, and a photo frame die with nostalgic charm. Combined with Simple Stories patterned papers, stickers and ephemera, the Say Cheese Classic Pooh collection is perfect for adorning simple scrapbook pages, charming handmade cards and so much more.
With more collections on the way, the collaboration between Spellbinders and Simple Stories is sure to delight scrapbookers and card makers for a long time to come. Check out the Simple Stories catalog at www.simplestories.com and subscribe to the newsletters from Spellbinders Paper Arts for announcements about the Say Cheese Classic Pooh collection.
