Hello Crafters, and welcome to day 9 of the 12 Days of Stitchmas 2025! Suzanne Hue here, and I’m delighted to be sharing a card and an ornament with you today using the
12 Days of Stitchmas 2025 Advent Calendar.

For my first card, I only used day 9 dies from the
12 Days of Stitchmas 2025 Advent Calendar.

I die cut the cupcake line both with
Teal Topaz and
White cardstock and adhered them together for a more sturdy piece to stitch. I used
DMC Diamant metallic thread in silver to stitch the cupcake liner. Then I die cut the cupcake with
Truffle cardstock, and the frosting with
Alabaster cardstock. I also decorated the cupcake with holly berries and leaves cut out of
Poppy and
Fern cardstock.
For the background, I adhered a
Mint cardstock panel measuring 3.50 x 4.75 inches on top of a glitter panel measuring 3.75 x 5.00 inches using
Treasured Cardstock in Silver Glitter Metallic. Then I centered these panels onto a white A2 card base to make a top-folding card. Next, I decorated around the assembled cupcake with
Opal Gems. The sentiment is from the
Sending Joy Sentiments Press Plate & Die, which was pressed on Porcelain Cotton Card with Black BetterPress Ink.

For my second card, I used Day 9 dies to create another cupcake, but this time with no stitching. I embossed the cupcake liner with the
Dimpled 3D Embossing Folder for texture. I die cut
Alabaster cardstock and ink blended with ink for the cupcake layer. And then cut two pieces of the frosting to make the cupcake more festive. I also die-cut the holly berries and leaves with white cardstock and did some ink blending.
For the layers of the ornament, I used the
Scallop & Stitched Edge Ovals Dies to cut layers of Treasured Cardstock in Antique Glitter Metallic,
White, and
Mint cardstock. I sandwich some glitter ribbon between the large scallop panels. The sentiment is from
Merry Messages Press Plate & Die and is glimmered on Onyx Cardstock with
Matte Silver Hot Foil Roll. Lastly, I decorated the cupcake liner with
Opal Gems.
Thanks so much for joining me for day 9 of the
12 Days of Stitchmas 2025. I hope you have a great day and happy stitching!
