If you love spooky season as much as we do, you’re in for a real treat (no tricks here). Whether you’re into cute and quirky or dark and dramatic, the 13 Days of Craftoween is packed with creative potential. Each day unveils a new mini crafting treasure designed to help you conjure up cards and more — all perfect for October makes and haunted happenings.

Ready to peek behind Door 6? Today we’re featuring a project by Jean Manis.

Catch up on all the spooky surprises and creative inspiration from the rest of the countdown: Day 1, Day 2, Day 3, Day 4, Day 5 From cute critters to haunted houses, each reveal is packed with frightfully fun inspiration you won't want to miss!
I’m excited to share a Halloween card made with the Day 6 die set from the Craft-O-Ween Advent Calendar Box set at Spellbinders. This playful design is built around a coordinated piece of patterned paper that ties everything together. I began by assembling the skeleton so I could make more informed color choices for the rest of the pieces. Follow along for a step-by-step walkthrough to create your own Halloween card full of personality and charm! Craft-O-Ween Day 6 Step-by-Step Halloween Fun, ADV-009, PE-104, S4-1403, S5-526 Note: the photos showing the dies on the Platinum SIX machine do not include the top cutting plate. Cut pieces for arm twice. Assemble. Craft-O-Ween Day 6 Step-by-Step Halloween Fun, ADV-009, PE-104, S4-1403, S5-526 Using the partially assembled skeleton, evaluate solid cardstock and patterned paper. I used the ColorWheel Swatch Deck to evaluate the solid cardstock options for the sentiment panel. Once color decisions have been made, add patterned paper to an A2-size card base Craft-O-Ween Day 6 Step-by-Step Halloween Fun, ADV-009, PE-104, S4-1403, S5-526 Stamp the sentiment in black ink on the chosen solid cardstock. Use an arch from the Essential Arches set to cut the stamped panel. I drew a pencil line under the stamped sentiment and marked the sentiment’s center to help place the arch die. I also used the partially assembled skeleton to help determine the placement of the arch. The skeleton was removed before I cut the arch. Using a die in the same set, cut the next largest arch from Classic White cardstock. Adhere the arches to the card base. Craft-O-Ween Day 6 Step-by-Step Halloween Fun, ADV-009, PE-104, S4-1403, S5-526 Cut the remaining pieces for the skeleton from coordinating cardstock. Finish assembling the skeleton. Add assembly to the card base with foam squares. Thanks so much for visiting! I hope this step-by-step tutorial helps you confidently create your own Halloween card featuring the fun skeleton from the Spellbinders Craft-O-Ween set. Choosing patterned paper that coordinates with your die cuts—like I did here—can really bring the whole design together and make your card feel cohesive and intentional. Happy Halloween crafting!
