"Matte Gold foil offers a more subtle, modern option and I love having it in my toolkit. The problem is that I struggle to get excellent results using plates with heavy/solid line designs. Allowing the plate to heat longer and using shims for more pressure sometimes works, sometimes not. On the flip side, I have reliably excellent results with delicate, thin lined plates, including most simple sentiments."
